Weather: Sunny with again a slight flash of light showers.

Dug up more Ligularia with Kerry, divided and replanted into two different beds (Photo 1). Her method of division is to splice with spade in the middle of plant. My preference is to set plants on their side and use two forks to lever them apart - this enables plants to break at points where they were inclining to split anyway. This allows for better shaped pieces too (as opposed to crescent moon shaped pieces because of curvature of spade).

Then cut down some Persicaria amplexicaulis Taurus = 'Blotau', reduced them (Photo 2 & 3). Any excess plants are crated up and offered to anyone else who wants them in different parts of the garden. Divided some Helenium 'Sahin's Early Flowerer'' and spread them out more evenly/ filling any gaps and took out any that were overwhelming any roses. Then cut down Helenium 'Moerheim Beauty' and did the same with them. Raked leaves off the beds.
