In the morning I helped dig out a Nothofagus dombeyi that was in the education garden for children outside the glasshouse. This was replanted in the Chilean Glade (Photo 2). We helped set up a marquee for Mother's Day. Then there was more moving of big mature shrubs, including a Cornus kousa var. chinensis 'Wisley Queen' (Photo 1), some dwarf Rhododendrons that got moved by proxy and some Camellias. Planting of the big shrubs more or less followed the principles shown in the Tree Planting Masterclass.
