Department: Woody

Chilean Glade, team day. First we dug up some Agapanthus (e.g. A. 'Dorothy Palmer'), and heeled in heeling in area.

Then we planted two mature Escallonia rosea. We went round watering everything that has been recently planted (alot), and put mulch rings around them with a pulverised bark - a by product of the timber industry from Penrith - partially decomposed and finer than usual woodchip. The circles were to keep the moisture in and to mark where new plants were, so that extra note and awareness can be taken of them from now and into summer.

Photo 2: Our watering method without a hose - big metal containers on the Kubota filled up in the yard and then smaller watering cans to draw from them. Tarp. to cover our backs from being splashed.
