Allotment
My Rudbeckia seedling has had a very bad scarid fly infestation (they have been growing on my windowsill in my bedroom. I cleared out all infested material and salvaged what I could of the seedlings. There are now 15 out of 28 left. I re-potted them into new finer soil (the Sylva mix by Melcourt that they use in prop. at Wisley, the Horizon one I tried I think is better suited to potting on - two woody for finer things like seedlings and seeds).
Then I planted my onion sets in, there are around 38, I have purposefully did not cage mine as I have never done so and haven't had trouble before, I have some back up onions anyway if anything happens. Fingers crossed.
