Watering in prop. A lot of things in Paul's House are kept more moist than I would have it. But I treat my plants very hard and these plants are soft flamboyant plants for display, they are not meant to be starved, but kept to look lush at a constant equilibrium. Most of his things he preferred to be cropped watered. I had to keep an eye on seedlings as well on the mist bench in case they suddenly turned and grew very fast (these can happen within one day), and needed to be moved on an unheated bench. We checked all of the houses twice in one day. Situations can turn very quickly, with crop watering, how far do you wait before you decide to water them all.
I checked on Sunday morning that the Solenostemon were moist and spot watered them and the Fuchsia collection looked alright, then in the afternoon many of them needed watering. The Solenonstemon in 9cm pots were drawing up more water than expected. A couple of Fuchsia had actually wilted - it takes about 12 hours for a plant to reach the permanent wilting point of no return, a few hours in between - the plant is still saveable (I left witnessing that the plant had bounced back again).
In between watering I did some apple pruning, finishing the last of the orchard trees that needed doing.
