Department: Trials
We worked on bark stripping - taking off the rest of the woodchip & bark still on the paths on an ex-trial bed where clearing is underway and nearly completed, taking off the long strips of black fabric (not mypex) that was suppose to suppress weeds but they were growing happily underneath because it was semi-transparent. It is also the end of the hybrid berry trials so work commenced dismantling that - first taking off the ties on the trained stems and cutting them down close to the ground.
