Worked with Mario, weeded inside the aubergine glass polyhouses, I broke one of the panes by accident by just opening it and the side of it hitting another side of a pane very lightly. They are very temperature sensitive when it's a bit cold in the morning and still warming up, so even a light tap can cause them to smash, and as it's safety glass it goes into many bits. Mario is familiar with this, so has spare panes.
Sowed some spinach Medania every 3 - 4cm.
| Phoro 1: I didn't stand on the soil whilst sowing the Spinach and used this handy board to kneel above the soil. |
I cleared the bottom leaves of celeriac 'Monarch' - the ones that were touching the ground, this helps expose the skin to more light and encourages them to thicken and become smoother. They are sown mid-June to mid-August, ready in October and can be left in the ground until heavy frost in December/ January. Leaves can be removed for a bigger veg also.

He also had some pretty ornamental annual Hibiscus flower called 'Simply Love', the seeds need soaking and are sown Week 14.
