Display house. Finished plunging Fritillaria collection. Cleaned up dead leaves of Elliot House. Dead leaves are a matter of course for plants - leaves decompose to provide nutrients. Alpine plants in the wild definitely relies on this.

Group task - we worked on the embankment, the soil is getting changed there (a mini digger is coming in), which will hopefully reduce the Equisetum arvense. We dug up what we were wanting to save which was mainly the Iris ensata collection that came about from a previous trial. These were taken up to prop to be potted up etc. Rhizomes are modified stems, theoretically a rhizome as long as it's hard will sprout roots and shoots. The question is which one first.
Finished the day continuing with cleaning and repotting Sempervivum.
