Department: Alpine

Cleaned up the Beschorneria yuccoides up at the top of the Bonsai Walk, taking out the dead leaves and cutting out the worse ones (tatty and yellow ones). Flower buds are already starting to appear. Then we weeded through the Crevice Garden with a small knife.

Then we had the Grand Curatorial Day, I was on the team working on the Fruit Mound. We redefined the edges of the grass and path. Cutting great chunks of grass that had grown into the path. Then we weeded around the foot of the trained stepover apple trees that wound around the mound. Alot of them had bulges where the graft union was because of a reaction to the graft, but they are healthy.
