It was the Plant Centre's big annual stock take - where every single item gets scanned with a Piccolink, and they check whether the quantities are correct with what has been counted. The shop is thankfully closed all day until this is done. I worked with Stephan the till manager. We first scanned in lots of seeds. Then we had a section of sundries where you can get every frippery and garden related gadgetry imaginable - at one point we were scanning over 100 'lambswool' balls of string.
Interesting facts:
- In terms of display, shelving and placement - people tend to buy most from the 'sightline' area.
- It is most likely people with money who shoplift.
